The interest of the Degree in Engineering of Horticulture and Gardening is to provide
students with the appropriate theoretical and technical training that enables them to succeed in the following professional profiles:
- Management, planning and expertise in vegetable and fruit production in different crop production systems that respect the environment (integrated, organic,etc.)
- Planning and supervision of crop management.
- Harvest, storage, handling, distribution of food products.
- Waste products management and treatment.
- Pest and disease management and treatment, and genetic studies.
- Design, implementation and maintenance of gardening and landscaping (urban green space and / or rural-parks, gardens, nurseries, urban trees, public or private sports facilities and landscape on recovery).
The importance of all the processes in which these graduates are involved, from
gardening and landscaping associated with public works to the optimization of
agricultural holdings, makes this university degree essential for the development of
society.
