GEM has successfully finished the design and manufacturing of the national thermal noise primary standard, developed for the Aerospace National Institute (INTA).

This project has been founded by INTA and the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Spain, through the project TRA2009_0281, within the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011. The results of this work have been published in the Metrologia journal and in different international conferences, as the International Microwave Symposium 2011.
