Descripción

The program TTO has been developed by MartínezMartí and Querin. TTO uses the growth method developed by Martínez and Martí which iteratively optimizes plane truss structures for size, geometry and topology without the need of a ground structure. The program optimizes structures with a single load case and with stress and size constraints. A detailed description of the method implemented in TTO can be found in the PhD dissertation of Dr Pedro Jesús Martínez Castejón titled: Simultaneous Optimal Design of Topology and Geometry of Trusses by Growing Techniques (in Spanish, 7093 kB). Below are some screen shots from TTO which show the optimal evolution of three examples.

This program has been carried out with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology and FEDER under DPI2002-03723 research project. Their support is greatly appreciated.

Referencing TTO:

TTO is free to use. However users of the software are asked to reference the software when they publish results using TTO.
